TRIGGER WARNING: Sexual abuse, assault Two women who say they were sexually abused by longtime Kansas City, Kansas, police detective Roger Golubski have expressed interest in suing — if only state law would let them. Ophelia Williams — who is using her name outwardly for the first time — and another woman referred to in court documents as S.K. alleged that Golubski used his position as a detective to sexually abuse and assault them for years. Both women have asked lawyers about pursuing legal claims against him — but because in both cases, the Kansas statute of limitations on sexual assault lawsuits has expired, the legal path is complicated.
