I've always been scared of this place! You see, you can easily walk to La Corbière, and explore Britain's first concrete lighthouse up close and personal...but if you take your eye off the ocean it can rise up and leave you stranded out there; separating you from the island for a long and lonely night; a prospect that both frightened and fascinated me in equal measures when I was a kid...and still to this day. #powerofnature #respecttheocean
