For years, she's taken her experience and past struggles to influence women who are facing the same situation Councilwoman Brown was once in. Because of Sheriff McFadden's progressive culture at the detention center, Councilwoman Brown has personally spoken with the women residents one-on-one to prepare them for life after incarceration.
