The future first-round pick lined a two-out single into left field to score Jackson Van De Brake in the bottom of the ninth, giving Carolina a 3-2 win against Virginia in the opening game of the Men’s College World Series in Omaha.
UNC will now move into the winner’s bracket in the event, where it will meet the winner of No. 1 Tennessee and No. 8 Florida State on Sunday at 6 p.m. Central time.
