Dr. Chawla is a fellowship-trained cardiologist with the Institute at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. He is board certified in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine. Dr. Chawla sees patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, hypertension, lipid abnormalities, and heart rhythm disorders. He has a particular interest in the preventive aspect of cardiology—encouraging the right balance between lifestyle modifications and therapeutics that makes patients feel better and live longer.
