Four extraordinary nurses were honored this week at the inaugural MedStar Health Nursing Impact Awards, which recognizes registered nurses who contribute to #nursing research, education, process improvement, and advocacy across the MedStar Health system. Nursing Educator Kristin Wright of MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital won for being a perpetual champion for all hospital quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives. Patient Care Coordinator Sharon Griffin of MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital won for her improvements in the operating room. Professional Development Specialist Amy Bartholomew of MedStar Harbor Hospital won for leading process improvements and innovations in practice development.
