At the Ravens game on Sunday, MedStar partnered with the team to recognize one of our patients, Norm, with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Check out this video to see highlights and hear how he recovered from open #HeartSurgery with help from Dr. Michael Fiocco, chief of cardiovascular surgery at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. After suffering a massive #HeartAttack, Norm eventually needed open heart surgery. Patiently waiting, Norm's wife and seven children worried for his life as it hung in the balance, but thankfully, he recovered. More recently this month, Norm turned to Dr. Fiocco to rewire his sternum, and post-surgery, Norm now has a new lease on life. Thanks to the Ravens for giving Norm this experience! We wish him all the best as he embarks on his journey of seeing and doing more in this chapter of his life.
