Christ is risen! He is risen indeed, hallelujah! “Stooping down, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in. Then, following him, Simon Peter also came. He entered the tomb and saw the linen cloths lying there. The wrapping that had been on his head was not lying with the linen cloths but was folded up in a separate place by itself.” John‬ ‭20:5-7‬ ‭ An often overlooked,seemingly simple, but very important, part of the resurrection story is the simple burial wraps and cloths. Jesus’ folding of His wraps is revealing of His nature when you see the deeper meaning. Resurrection wasn’t some sudden, intense, or crazy moment. It was a peaceful, aware, and Godly action. Jesus, after being resurrected, consciously took the time to tidy up and fold his clothes. This could also be a way to show anyone who came in that his body wasn’t taken in a hasty robbery.  Mary, still in shock, didn’t realize the symbolism of the folded wraps.
