+ For years I convinced myself that if the rest of my body looked “perfect” people would look past my imperfections. If I had the prettiest hair, the whitest teeth, the nicest clothes... people wouldn’t notice my legs. I hid them growing up. I almost always wore pants and I hated when people stared at me because it only confirmed what I already knew to be true, that I was different. Some days are still really challenging, I struggle with really simple things like stairs and putting on shoes. I think all of us amputees make it look so easy because it has become a natural part of our lives, but truth be told... it’s hard sometimes. I don’t have all the answers, but every day I wake up and choose to be proud of who I am. Some days that’s more difficult than others, but I’ve never been a quitter 😏 I never thought in my whole life I would be comfortable wearing legs like these. But honestly, I’ve never felt more confident in showing them off. So go ahead, take a look 👀 • • • #whoneedsle...
