Congratulations to Danny Schwartzman, owner of Common Roots Café and Riverbend Farm, who collaborated to create a magical dish of Stewed Winter Squash and Black-Eyed Peas with Sage Polenta Triangles, featured in The Farmer and the Chef Cookbook. We believe in chefs collaborating with local farmers to support sustainability, and are proud to have our own Alicia Hinze’s cinnamon rolls showcased in the Farmer and the Chef cookbook along with other tempting recipes like this Common Roots Café entree. All of these innovative recipes reflect Minnesota’s revered farm-to-table values. Showcasing a select number of the Twin Cities chefs featured in this cookbook is our way of paying it forward and supporting the visionary chefs and farms working to make the restaurant industry more equitable, vibrant, and diverse. It's also our way of thanking cookbook contributors claudine_arndt katiecannonphotography, and mnfarmersunion for making this book look as beautiful as the recipes are delicious. ...
