Today we are celebrating the Black Dog, a mainstay of our Lowertown neighborhood. Co-owned by siblings Stacy, Sara, and Andy Remke, the Black Dog has been welcoming the Lowertown community since 1998. Located on the south-east corner of the St. Paul Farmers Market, the Black Dog has a reputation for showcasing live jazz, world, roots, and bluegrass music. We love Saturday Night Jazz at the Black Dog—and their daily Happy Hour between 3:00–6:00 p.m. The Black Dog shares our commitment to authenticity, community, diversity, and social justice. We applaud their creative dedication to providing space where people can gather and forge genuine connections.
