Congratulations to Alicia’s fellow alum, Tracy Chang, owner of Pagu in Cambridge, whose Spicy Bang Bang Noodles recipe appears with Alicia’s Perfect Vanilla Cake in the new Beard Foundation cookbook.
This dish, made from homemade dough, is inspired by childhood memories of cooking with her grandma every Sunday. “We’d cook, or visit Boston’s Chinatown, where she knew everyone’s name and specialty,” Tracy remembers. “We sampled all kinds of noodles, thick and thin, paired with a range of sauces, broths, and garnishes. This recipe reminds me of those times, enjoying simple, soulful dishes with my grandma.”
