Alicia and her team have returned triumphant from the 2018 James Beard Foundation Gala at the glittering Pierre hotel in New York this past weekend. We can't thank the host chefs and the beardfoundation enough for the warm welcome and generosity extended to our Buttered Tin team, or adequately express how wonderful it was to meet and cook with the Gala's talented group of chefs from across the country.  Now, we are going to share every detail of the adventure, from what it takes to create 600 flawless sweet treats (at an off-site location!) to our near dessert disaster when our three tiered cake met security—and including the luxurious contents of the gala swag bags.
