Persistent cold, wet, nasty, weather here at the New has me scanning my archived images from a trip to the sun soaked limestone walls of #Kalymnos with jessagoebel twincannons and Eddie Avallone in 2010. This rugged place is the third-largest of the Dodecanese Islands in the southeastern Aegean Sea. Historically known for sponge diving and in more recent times, world-class rock climbing. Mythology has it that Kalymnos got its name from the Titan Kalydnos, who was the sun of Gaea (Earth) and Uranus (Heaven).
