Congratulations to accomplished composer and FIU Distinguished University Professor Orlando Jacinto Garcia. Garcia is the 2022 recipient of the Walter Hinrichsen Award in Music from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. The Walter Hinrichsen Award, established by the C.F. Peters Corporation in 1984, is given for the publication of work by an American composer each year. Garcia will officially accept his award May 18, 2022 in New York City.
