Commencement Week. #FIUGrad Spotlight on Helen M. Acevedo Feliciano// A Broadcast Media major, Helen bleeds blue and gold! In her time at FIU, Helen was involved in Her Campus FIU before joining the South Florida Media Network (SFMN) in the Summer of 2020 where she’s had the opportunity to sharpen her storytelling skills and report on a wide range of stories -- the protests for Black Lives Matter, the liberation of Cuba, the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccines, the Miami-Dade Mayoral race, Bitcoin, and the Surfside Building collapse, to name a few.
