La Joya ISD has executed measures and taken precautions to prevent, protect and inform our employees and community on COVID-19. We have been disinfecting campuses, buses and facilities on a daily basis with hospital grade materials as a precaution. There is currently no vaccine, prevention relies on everyday preventive actions such as: • Washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds •. No sharing of food or drinks •. Avoid touching face and handshaking •. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces •. Avoid close contact with people who are sick •. Stay home when you are sick •. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue We will continue to provide updates and resources in an effort to help our families reduce the risk in their home and community. The health, safety, and well-being of our employees, students, and community remains the highest priority for La Joya ISD.
