La Joya ISD Alumni from Thelma R. Salinas STEM ECHS made their way back to their old high school today to share their college experience and offer advice to motivate and encourage our current students. Much of the advice consisted on encouraging students to seek internship opportunities during high school, emphasized the importance of time management to meet deadlines, building their network by joining organizations and developing leadership skills.
Class of 2016 alum, Brandon Martinez, graduated with a BS in Computer Science in 2018 and is soon to embark in a new journey with The Boeing Company.
Class of 2017 alum, Mark Rodriguez, will be graduating with a BS in Biology in May 2020, and aspires to attend medical school in the future.
