To Compromise - accepting standards that are lower than is desirable.
Going to the
@vikings training camp reminded me that athletes do not compromise. As a former athlete I remember what it is like to strive to be the best, to put in the work, to go the extra mile, and the sacrifices one has to take.
Now that I am officially retired I take this moment to look at my life as a whole and what I tend to compromise on. When do I compromise my mental health, relationships, my boundaries, and my “me” time.
Don’t get me wrong I am still a very competitive person to the core but I know there are aspects of my life that I can give more and to be frank there are times where I can just be better.
Going forward I am really going to challenge myself on “is this situation going to provide instant satisfaction or going to be long term beneficial?”
This isn’t a reflection to beat yourself up on but to really peel back that onion and find out in the core what is stopping you from being the best v...
