There has been a 1767% increase in liquefied gas (LNG) exports from the US to the EU & UK since 2018 🤯 This is a crime!⁣ ⁣ A new Greenpeace investigation reveals that the gas industry is pushing the US & Europe into contracts that would 🔥roast🔥 the planet. ⁣ ⁣ Dozens of new LNG terminals have been built, are under construction, or are proposed on both sides of the Atlantic.⁣ ⁣ The emissions associated with this buildout of new LNG infrastructure in the US are estimated to equal the annual emissions of 488 coal plants, or 393 million cars. 🚗🚗🚗☁️ 🤯⁣ ⁣ We are demanding that European governments and the US take swift measures to break these contracts, reject new ones, and initiate the global phase-out of fossil fuels necessary for a livable future. ⁣ ⁣ #BreakTheContracts⁣ #EndFossilCrimes
