👵🙌 Today the Swiss Senior Women for Climate protection have responded to the last-minute submission from the Swiss government, handed just before the #herstoric hearing began at the European Court of Human Rights on the 29th of March. And you know what? The Answers Switzerland provided are not clear at all 🤔 For example, the Court asked how the fair contribution of each state should be calculated in order to comply with the global carbon budget, the so-called ’fair share’. Switzerland answered that there is no generally accepted method for calculating a fair share (spoiler alert - there is) and that the studies submitted by the KlimaSeniorinnen are all ‘subjective’ (spoiler alert - they aren't - it's called science).
