Air pollution in North Thailand has been in crisis level since January 2023, damaging the health and the livelihoods of over 2 million people. The people are fighting back for clean air and have filed a lawsuit against the government demanding for real and immediate action to solve the crisis. "Everyone has to endure the toxic dust crisis that worsens every year, & we cannot tolerate it any longer. The government must adopt immediate & long-term measures to prevent dust pollution in forests & maize crops,” said Chatchawan Thongdeelert of the Chiang Mai Breath Council. The key point in the case is to demand that the Prime Minister and other government agencies determine preventive measures and prepare an emergency plan to effectively resolve the persistent air pollution problem. greenpeaceth #CleanAirForAll
