Another large theme (there are a few!) is that to do with Islam and Modern Britain. It seems a many headed never-ending contentious issue. And my characters feel caught in the midst of this storm, trying to move from youth to adulthood, while trying to navigate a negative media, seemingly hostile society, and reconciling their modern identity with tradition.
