While She Sleeps, Download Festival 2024 REVIEW: There are a hell of a lot of members of the Sleeps Society in attendance at this particular meeting on the Opus Stage. For those who grew up watching While She Sleeps cutting their teeth in tiny rooms across Yorkshire, occasions like this always feel that little bit more magnificent. And against a backdrop of 18 amps and fire spiralling around them from all angles, being such a massive flagbearer for British metal has never suited them more. Fresh cuts ‘RAINBOWS’ and ‘SELF HELL’ slot into their kaleidoscopic soundboard snuggly, whilst permanent fixtures ‘Four Walls’ and ‘Silence Speaks’ show how they still have that master touch when it comes to metalcore as well. With the world firmly at their feet and another domination of Donington under their belt, pride is the overwhelming emotion getting directed at those Sleeps boys.
