It’s not Thursday but this is a major throwback to when I was 17 years old. My beginning.
I’ve had many pictures taken of me during my performance, but nothin beats this one taken by shelleylipton. Amazing professional photographer, and anything above all, a very nice person.
This picture was taken when I was still 17... so almost 12 years ago. Yes I still look the same. 😂
When I look at this picture, I feel two emotions. One when I was young and 17, and a veteran at 28 years old. All I can say is that I still have the same passion for karate, desire to win, and the fire to become better and stronger. Actually, they maybe stronger now. 💪🏻🦾
This photo was taken in 2008, when I made it to finals in the Men’s kata division against a good friend vassarlb, and performed a Team Kata demo with my senpais brandonarashiro and mutsuoara. We took home a Bronze medal at the Panamerican championships that year in Curaçao 🇨🇼.
Time flies, but so do I! 😉
