As we reach the 1yr mark of #COVID19, the City & Harris County voted to authorize a new #RentalAssistance program to help Houston families who are at risk of losing their homes from pandemic-related impacts of unemployment, business closures, or unforeseen expenses. Today, Houston City Council approved their portion of the funding to cover past-due & future rent for families struggling due to #COVID19. The fund will be run by BakerRipley & Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. This City/County joint fund totals $159 million.
