In these final hours of the UN climate summit, we're proud to join the +1700 climate leaders who have signed a letter to COP28 President Sultan Al Jaber calling for:
🟢 The phasing out of all fossil fuels in a just and equitable way;
🟢 Bigger investments in renewable energy and the scaling up of public and private finance in support of the planet, especially by developed countries;
🟢 The end of deforestation, degradation, biodiversity loss, and ecosystem collapse by 2030;
🟢 The safeguarding of Indigenous territories.
The letter serves as a rallying call for immediate action on our planet's most pressing environmental concerns and is a roadmap to avoiding the 1.5°C tipping point and its disastrous consequences. We are calling for effective and proven solutions to address the climate crisis, which will require embracing nature-based solutions such as safeguarding and rewilding wildlife.
