On Aug. 20 of this year, Ecuador made history by becoming the world's first nation to vote to keep oil underground, protecting both people and wildlife that live there, like the Three-toed Sloth. Nearly 60% of Ecuadorians cast their votes in favor of safeguarding a vital portion of #Yasuní in the Amazon rainforest. Yasuní is known as the most biodiverse place on Earth!
