The most biodiverse place on the planet—Yasuní National Park—has remained so because of the commitment of the Indigenous peoples living there to protect their home, livelihoods, cultures and our planet! This national park in the Ecuadorian Amazonis home to Waoroni, Kichwas, Shuar, settlers and mestizos. It is also home to the Tagaeri and Taromenane, Indigenous peoples living in voluntary isolation. Yet the devastating threat of Big Oil looms over Yasuní and all who call it home. We are proud to support the Youth Collective of Amazon Defenders—which is made up of six Indigenous nations in the Ecuadorian Amazon—to call on Ecuadorian voters to vote to keep oil in the park underground permanently in a nationwide referendum August 20.
