A group of thieves stole thousands of dollars’ worth of baseball bats from D-BAT Baseball and Softball Academy locations in Huntersville, Concord and Indian Trail. A group of three women walked away from the Huntersville location with 17 baseball bats tucked inside their floor-length skirts. The thieves took some of the most expensive bats the business sells, like Rawlings Icons, Easton Ghosts and Hype Fires. They range from $350 to $500 each. A Huntersville employee said it was clear the bandits did their research. “They grabbed no cheap bats. We have some bats over here like $90 and $80. They didn’t touch those.
