Written by Ron Miller and Orlando Murden for Motown Recordsβ Stein & Van Stock publishing company,β Wonder described the song as βa great tune, but it lacked excitement. The other interpretations were beautiful β but too old fashioned. I wanted to do the song the way I felt it. You know the bit where I go βwowβ! That is after the music starts you become aware of the mood of the song β and then you just have to go βwowβ. Even though it was a ballad and I loved it as that, I felt the tune could be done in the form of rejoicing in meeting someone who needed me. I was excited and recorded it that way.β
