"Originally built and owned by the Beverly Hutchinson family in 1896, the Alumni House was later purchased by R.E. Miller, who operated it as a boarding house. Lyndon B. Johnson lived there from 19__ to 19__. During World War II, the house was rented out to men stationed at Gary Air Force Base. In 1966, the house was sold to the Urban Renewal Agency, who conveyed it to Texas State University, to be used as an alumni house and historical attraction. In 2003, the Alumni House received a much-needed paint job. Old wood and damaged siding were replaced, and the house was repainted in a scheme authentic to the era in which it was built. The Alumni House is now home to the Center for Student Retention." #UniversityArchives #TBT Time for some fun #TXST trivia! -- Between what years did LBJ stay in the Alumni House?
