Going back to a post I put up a few days ago about being in a caloric deficit for too long๐๐
.
Do you feel like you're hardly eating any calories & working out super hard only to find yourself actually gaining weight, when the goal is to be losing?
.
You might be starving yourself too much & for far to long! .
Yes, in the short term eating less calories than what you consume should result in weight loss, right? When it boils down to it, if you restrict calories for too long, your body will actually down regulate your BMR (basal metabolic rate - how many calories your body burns just by being alive, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, digestion, etc).
.
Once your body down regulates your BMR, the "1,000 calories"you had been eating for the last 6 months now become your maintenance calories... Which means anything you eat over 1,000 calories now puts you in a caloric surplus = weight/fat gain.
.
How do you fix this problem? It's a little bit of a process, but we need to start ...
