Wow oh wow did it feel good to get back on the pitch last Saturday... AND to pick up our first win of the season — 2-0 over newyorkshockers — in front of a SOLD OUT crowd of exactly 200 people (COVID restrictions, y’all!) Even though the stands looked sparse, the crowd was LOUD with the dutchguardsg in full effect all game long (drums and chants and smokebombs and jokes). Best of all was just reconnecting with all our Stockade peeps — on the coaching side, with the players, among the army of volunteers, and of course all the fans and the Kingston community in general. We said hello again to old friends and also goodbye to our friend Tommy Keegan (RIP). It was an amazing night and it feels great to be back, and the best part is we’re gonna do it all again next weekend.
