May 8 is a historic day for our club. Four years ago today, Kingston Stockade FC took the pitch in an official capacity for the first time ever. Stockade traveled up to Massachusetts for our NPSL debut against Greater Lowell United FC. The day ended in a hard-fought 1-1 draw, but more important than the result was the grit and determination shown by the orange and black as soon as they took the pitch. And that fighting spirit didn't come out of thin air; what you see above is the first-ever captain's team talk given by none other than current head coach jls2017 / Jamal Lis-Simmons. The pride in the Hudson Valley, the all-for-one mindset, the fighting spirit ... it's all represented in Lis-Simmons' passionate 20-second speech. And perhaps most importantly, this was the first time the words, "WE ARE STOCKADE!" were shouted in unison before a match. With such fervor that you can hear it echo in the hills afterwards. ..
