Children sit under a damaged tent in the Al-shaykh camp in Idleb,
#Syria.
After more than a decade of conflict, 800,000 people in north-west Syria still live in tents. This past summer, severe storms put families at risk, destroying their belongings and forcing them to sleep without a roof over their heads.
The residents of the Al-shaykh camp are among the millions of people around the world in need of humanitarian assistance.
The
#UnitedNations office for humanitarian affairs says US$51.1 billion is needed to provide assistance to 230 million of the world’s most vulnerable people.
