Every day, children around the world are receiving the life-saving polio vaccine. Thanks to vaccines, polio cases have decreased by 99% since 1988. Yet, polio is still a risk, and the disease is reappearing in places that were polio-free for decades following immunization delays due to #COVID19. Monday is #WorldPolioDay. No child anywhere should suffer from a disease that can be prevented by a vaccine. Fair and equitable access to vaccines is essential to achieving a polio-free world for future generations.
