The wait is over! @michigancentraldetroit and Ford Motor Co. have lifted the veil on its six-year restoration of Michigan Central Station. Over the course of the day, we will be sharing stunning before-and-afters showing the fruits of the 1.7 million hours of hard work by 3,100 men and women to undo 30 years of neglect. Behold the ticket lobby, featuring light fixtures re-created from the 1910 station plans, the iconic clock - handcarved and based on fragments of the original clock that had been destroyed by vandals, and more Mankato stone than you can shake a can of spray paint at to replace the missing pieces.
