🎓Congratulations, Charlie Charlie Bertsch (aka Choppa Chaz) (aka Chaz), was one of our inspiring captains of the team who never failed to bring a smile to our faces. He’s funny, caring, and determined to bring the best out of others. You can always count on him to bring a positive attitude to practice. If you come around the boathouse you’ll hear him crack a joke that is bound to make the whole team laugh or hear him yelling at the rest of the guys to zip it up while we stretch. Charlie rowed all 4 years of his high school career, starting on the freshman team where he made the 1F. Even with Covid limiting training, he put up a strong semi-final finish at Stotes. During Charlie’s sophomore year his personality really started to shine. Though he was racing with the 2V crew, the 1v team had to have him in their group chat.
