Ortisei: the northern Italian, Austrian-influenced town at the feet of the Dolomites. It truly felt like we had crossed the border as everyone spoke mostly German (which threw the few Italian phrases I'd learned earlier in the week right out the window lol). The main square made me giddy each time we walked through it, and as my dad & I kept exclaiming every five seconds, everyone was so happy & kind!
