With the energy of mindfulness you can look into the garbage and say, “I am not afraid. I am capable of turning the garbage back into love.”
-Thich Nhat Hanh, Taming the Tiger Within 🐅
In my recent mind body healing, an emotion that has come up more than once is anger. I feel anger about the last 5 years not going at all how I planned or dreamed. I feel anger at the people I blame for playing a role in overtraining me and pushing my body so far past its limits for so long that it’s taken me years to unravel. I’m angry at myself for not advocating for myself during that time and for mistreating my body when it was just doing its very best and needed rest.
The timing of the universe is pretty cool because when I was unpacking that anger, my friends op_e___n sent me this book by Thich Nhat Hanh called Taming the Tiger Within, which is about… anger and how to accept difficult emotions and bring in love. ❤️
