If you’re not falling, you’re not going out of your comfort zone 😩 No one likes to fall. It hurts and it’s embarrassing and oftentimes we tell ourselves that when we fall, we’re failing. In some ways those thoughts are valid— when you fall it probably means that what you’re doing is too difficult for you— but, as the saying goes, “comfort is the enemy to growth”. To get better, it’s necessary to stretch yourself past what is easy or even possible for your current self to do. There is a certain power to conquering the fear of falling and using your shortcomings as a signal for improvement rather than a frustration point. For me, I fall ALL DAY— there are times where my knees are so tender that it hurts to touch— but in taking pride of my falls rather than judging them, I am able to continue pushing my limits.
