I spent most of the nights standing along the river trying to shoot the Milky Way and the cliff walls. The first couple nights I shot my normal way but I was lucky enough to have one of the best Astrophotographers I’ve ever met with me. I listened to every word he said and tried to just soak in the informational was giving us. He was an open book. Anything we asked him he was able to answer. This was towards the end of the trip and this was his vision shot. I made sure to take some shots at twilight to get the foreground correct and then waited till the Milky Way was where he said it would be. This kind of shot is more then just clicking the shutter and going to bed. To be able to learn how to compose a shot like this and see the results of what he taught me. I’ve dreamed of being able to make an image like this and I can only say thank you to one of the best photographers I’ve ever met, Bob. @rqfugate you should really go check out his work!
