#DYK: Nearly half of Canada’s emissions come from our urban centres. 🏙 This week I announced an $18-million federal investment to establish an Urban Climate Centre in Halifax. 🌱 One of seven being established nationally, this will help Halifax communities cut greenhouse gas emissions and accelerate our city’s transition to a low-carbon economy. Three key areas are: energy efficiency in buildings 🏢; urban renewable energy🔋, and; transportation solutions 🚎.
