You may have heard that the goal of meditation is to have no thoughts in your mind 🧘🏽. And while there are certain states of meditation that are thoughtless, there are also deep meditative states where thoughts are present.
While meditating, if a thought comes, you can just let it come (trying to push it away takes effort, and meditation is effortless). And then, just as easily, you let it go.
The trick is not to get entangled with any thoughts. Not to let them take you down the usual rabbit holes. Meditation isn’t a time to ponder your “problems” and seek solutions. It’s a time to let go and accept things exactly as they are.
So during meditation, just relax and let thoughts float by as easily as clouds passing in the sky ☁️☁️☁️.
