Over the weekend nearly two dozen EVMS Medical Spanish volunteers assisted in the Tidewater Community Adventist Health Fair. Through our partnership with this community, and several other local organizations including ODU, Access Partnership and the Bon Secours Care-A-Van, approximately 500 people were able to receive medical and dental screenings and services, have a free meal at the international vegetarian food fair and participate in games and raffles.The EVMS team, comprised of MD and MPA students, staff and faculty, was able to assist with triage, hypertension and diabetes screenings and referrals for patients needing follow-up care. #EVMSGlobalHealth #globalislocal #bilingualfuturephysicians #EVMSMedicalSpanish
