Happy PA week everyone! I’m Shannon Morris, PA-C, Assistant Professor and Clinical Educator for the EVMS PA Program. I’m also a Class of 2009 alum! Our students are exhausted from their big pharm exam, so I’m taking over today to highlight our PA faculty and preceptors. Follow along with me for a day in the life of PA educators! After I graduated from EVMS, I practiced in family medicine before joining the PA Program as full-time faculty in 2015. I love being a PA because of the flexibility our profession offers. I can practice clinically in any field of medicine, work as a PA educator and so much more! My favorite part of being PA faculty is the opportunity to mentor future PAs. I serve as the faculty advisor for our EVMS chapter of the Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, where I foster leadership and professional growth among our student leadership.
