My first experiment of the day is to set up a chemotherapy drug sensitivity assay. One focus of our lab is looking into how certain genes and factors can sensitize cancer cells to chemotherapeutics.  Determining how certain tumors can be sensitized to these drugs allows treatment options to be personalized to the patient to optimize treatment outcomes. #EVMSTakeoverTuesday #EVMS #CancerResearch #science #biomedicalscience #norfolkva #phdlife
