But did you know that this dish can also teach us some Filipino American history? 🧐 The original Buko Pie recipe was invented by Soledad Pahud and her sisters in the Laguna Province of the Philippines. While working as a maid in the United States, Soledad learned to make classic American apple pies. When she returned to the Philippines, she tried to replicate what she had learned.
