Port Baseball had another successful week in their conference series vs Freeport. The Vikings went 3-0 with a win at home and 2 wins on the road. - In game 1, Michael Andrew got the ball and did the same thing he’s done all season. The Senior threw 5 shutout innings allowing only 1 hit and striking out 10 on only 62 pitches. This is his 3rd game in a row with 10 or more Strikeouts! The Vikings offense was electric in game 1. Lucas Milgrim was the key hitter in the win going 2 for 3 with a walk, and an RBI Triple! The Vikings won 10-0 in a 5 inning mercy rule. - The Vikings played game 2 on the Road and Dustin Noto got the ball for the Vikings. The Vikings struck in the first inning with 2RBI’s from Danny Alexander, an RBI single from Chris Carillo, and an RBI single from Dylan Forman. In a 5-4 game in the 5th inning, Hunter Trenaman came in and shut the door. The Sophmore went 2.2 innings allowing just 2 hits and 0 runs.
